Melinda Jones is a Modern Orthodox, Jewish feminist human rights lawyer, scholar and disability activist. She is now retired from the Academy, where she taught Law and Political Theory. She is the author of 11 books and over 50 peer-reviewed academic articles. She has been involved in social activism her whole life, was a founding member of Redfern Legal Centre & the NSW Disability Discrimination Legal Centre, Editor of Chief of the Australian Journal of Human Rights and Director of the Australian Human Rights Centre at the University of NSW. She has expertise in feminism, disability and racial hatred as well as in governance, constitutional & administrative law.
