Project details

What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details

We are collecting 2 (TWO) illustrations for our 2024 Wall Calendar. The images must center Black women/girls/femmes and sewing. We have examples from previous calendars. Specifications: The final size for each art file should be 14.25" x 11.25" (with 1/8" bleed all around), conforming to the following: Print ready art: 300 dpi resolution at real size, saved as PDF or JPG (high-quality setting). The safe area (margin) should be 1/2" from the bottom, 1/4" all sides.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a briefing document with our brand colors, slogans, style/aesthetic, and calendar dimensions which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have two previous calendars, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to divert resources to other parts of our organization while also providing high quality creative inspiration for our community.

This is the largest fundraiser for our organization. If this is successful, we will be on firm financial footing for the 2024 fiscal year.

Our mission

Black Women Stitch is the sewing group where Black lives matter. We center Black women, girls, and femmes in sewing. We practice the principles of Black liberation, radical self love, and social justice.

What we do

*Stitch Please podcast, a weekly audio show, is our major project. The podcast aims to support, celebrate, and inspire Black women sewists locally and around the world.

*Weekly chats on Instagram Live to answer questions and address issues/topics of interest, including material from the podcast, current sewing projects, and dismantling white supremacy.
