Website Major Update
Website Major Update
Project details
What we need
- Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
- Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details
Our organization just did a visual brand makeover ahead of our 3 year anniversary, and now it's time to translate our new look to our website! We're looking for someone to help "spice up" our Squarespace website by either customizing our existing template or creating a custom template that helps bring our work and impact to life!
What we have in place
- We currently have clear examples of the kind of website we want to create, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a visual brand guide and updated logos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to direct funds to support our small team of 3 (serving 3,000)!
Cohort Sistas is celebrating its 3 year birthday this July, and we will be "relaunching" in a big way! We've updated our logo and branding, are revamping our community member platform, and are now looking for assistance updating our website to match our new look. We have a lot of plans to expand our reach and impact for the next year, and we know that a more customized website will help drive more community signups as well as donations.
Project plan
Our mission
Cohort Sistas provides digital resources, mentorship, and community to improve equity in doctoral education. While our programs and platform are open to all doctoral students, applicants, and degree holders, we prioritize and center the needs and perspectives of Black women and nonbinary scholars.
What we do
Founded in July 2020, Cohort Sistas has over 3,000 members across academic disciplines from all around the world. As the only non-profit organization in the United States dedicated to equipping Black women currently or interested in pursuing doctoral education with the knowledge, support, and community they need to thrive in the Ivory Tower, Cohort Sistas works to:
1. Increase the number of Black women and nonbinary people who matriculate into and complete doctoral degrees.
2. Reduce the undue financial and emotional burden of doctoral education for Black women and nonbinary people.
3. Strengthen the pipeline of Black women and nonbinary leaders in higher education, research, government, and industry, whose work and influence will create positive social change for all.
