Project details

What we need
  • A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
Additional details

We need a template for reaching out to funders with which we have no prior relationship. There are 2 goals for these letters:

1) A letter which requests money to support the meetings & events we host so that we can provide food, afford to rent meeting/event space, etc.
2) We lack a cohesive 'pitch' to give to funders and need help with developing concise/impactful language that would be incorporated into a letter requesting financial support in the form of a grant.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a vision and mission statement, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an idea of what we want to fundraise for, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,140 , allowing us to reach additional individual and corporate donors and foundations, tell them our story, and invest in our mission and potential.

Gaining access to more and a diverse range of funders for operational and programmatic support is critical to our ability to stay in business. We are at a point now where raising extra capital to support our ongoing program and operational costs is critical to our ability to stay in business. Without significant support from individual and corporate donors and foundations, we run the risk of shutting down programs or closing our doors at the end of the fiscal year.
