Board Recruitment Plan
Project details
What we need
- Assessment of specific Organizational needs mapped to specific board roles
- Candidate evaluation guide for prospective board members, including suggested vetting questions and timeline
- Marketing tools and guidance on how to execute recruitment
- Note: This project does not include actual board recruitment on the part of the Professional
What we have in place
- We currently have a Board member questionnaire, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a recently approved 3-yr Strategic Plan, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,702 , allowing us to pay for a venue and travel for all to get together at an annual Board Retreat somewhere in Oregon.
Two of our current 5 Board members are stepping down at the end of the year. Both have been with us from the very beginning, and one is the Founder - so it will be a significant loss of institutional history. Our by-laws allow for 7 members; although we've never had that many, I think it would be really great for the maintenance of our organization. Furthermore, we are a statewide group and would benefit from involvement from many areas of our big state (Oregon).
