What we need

  • Messaging that is consistent with brand identity, public relations strategy and communications objectives

LivelyHoods, as a non-profit social enterprise, is constantly on a fundraising mission, to be able to fund our training program for unemployed, disadvantaged youth and women. We are therefore looking for grantwriting support to apply to a number of opportunities in the coming months.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a great number of previous applications, written materials, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have time to dedicate to support you in coming up with new ideas, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to train100 youth and women!

This application will allow us to apply for funding which we will use to dramatically grow the impact of our organization.

Our mission

Our mission is to create livelihoods for youth in urban slums in Kenya. Our vision is a world in which youth can work their way out of poverty.

What we do

After interviewing 278 young people in Nairobi slums, we learned they were all selling whatever they could in order to survive. We leverage those existing skills to employ youth at what they are good at – sales. We create livelihoods by recruiting young people into a training and employment program where they learn valuable business and professional skills and earn an income selling life-changing products in their communities. This work gives youth living in poverty the chance to develop skills, build confidence and earn a dignified livelihood.
