Project details

What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details

The Executive Director has begun an employee handbook based on the handbooks of similar organizations. Because other organizational priorities have come up, she doesn't have the capacity to be the primary author in order to complete it.

What we have in place
  • We currently have employee handbooks from similar organizations, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have some sections completed, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to travel to more Georgia communities to train individuals and families how to advocate for affordable, quality health care & coverage to elected officials.

Georgians for a Healthy Future has always been a small organization with little need for formal HR practices but we anticipate growth in the next 12-36 months. Having documented, established HR processes and resources in place will make it easier to onboard future employees and retain current employees while treating all equitably.
