What we need
- A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
Additional details
Our organization sends out one solicitation letter to our entire donor database (250-300 households). We would like to have help writing a compelling letter which shows our growth and impact over time.
What we have in place
- I have copies of all past solicitation letters sent.
I have a copy of our strategic plan which outlines our mission and vision, as well as the future goals of our organization.
I have access to the donor database and can run a report to show what we received.
I can work with you to provide any other information needed.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,140 , allowing us to have the staff member devote the time saved into areas of her work that she cannot focus on currently since she is stretched thin with her responsibilities.
Our organization relies on donations from individuals to cover areas of our budget that our grant funding does not support - such as executive salaries and overhead costs. It is imperative for us to grow our base of donors so that we can continue to work to improve the lives of families and children in our community. Writing an impactful letter about how donations will change lives will not only attract new donors but build upon existing relationships.
