What we need
- Tightly-written web copy of up to to eight pages of 200-300 words each
- The opportunity to work closely with an experienced, SEO literate copywriter
Additional details
This is a very unique and exciting project! We have 65 speakers and artists who go around the country educating young people. We need someone to look at each of their bios and write an impactful, inspiring, heartfelt sentence description of each of them. We are redesigning our website and this will be a part of our launch efforts, hopefully to get our community excited about these amazing speakers.
What we have in place
- We currently have a live website, existing copy, and are working on a new webs, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have writing samples we like, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,073 , allowing us to subsidize costs for youth and community organizations with limited funds to witness our speakers, programs, and gain access to our resources and network.
This project is important because we have some really amazing and inspiring speakers that go out and educate young people on social justice, diversity, education, LGBTQ, women's issues, and other world issues. By elevating the copywriting and our new website, we will make an easier and bigger impact.

Our mission
SpeakOut - The Institute for Democratic Education and Culture is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of education, racial and social justice, cultural literacy, leadership development and activism.
Our network of speakers, artists, and strategic partners provide experiential learning opportunities through lectures, workshops, film screenings, performances and curriculum development.
SpeakOut works with colleges, universities, schools, organizations, government agencies and the private sector, promoting critical analysis, creativity and innovative strategies for 21st century problem solving.

We are the nation's only non-profit speakers agency, providing educational and cultural speakers, resources, and programs nationally.
