Our mission

StandUp for Kids, founded in 1990, is a national non-profit organization committed to ending the cycle of youth homelessness. StandUp for Kids' Orange County chapter, established in 2003, provides four types of programs: Street Outreach, Mentoring, Outreach Centers and Housing Support. Together these programs provide a continuum of support from identification and primary prevention to self-sufficiency and independence. In 2018 we provided 6,312 instances of support to County youth including over 3,300 meals served, 2,065 nights of shelter, and 3,115 hours of mentoring support. We served 477 new youth aged 12 to 24 years of age in the calendar year.
