Hello
DAP is in need of assistance in re-designing a wallet sized safety card. This is a double sided card that is folded 4 times to the size of a credit card. We distribute them to the community and it has information about domestic violence, our agency's information, and safety planning. It is one of our most requested agency materials.
What we have in place
- We currently have a PDF of the original safety card, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have changes to original and one updated example, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to provide food, clothing, safety planning, crisis counseling, transportation, and emergency shelter to individuals fleeing abusive situations.
Community outreach and education prevention about domestic violence is a huge part of what our agency does. These safety cards can be placed in restrooms to allow individuals to discreetly store the card in a purse or pocket. This project is important to DAP because we know an updated version will be more easily read and understood if resources and emergency information really stood out on the card.
