- Budget for implementation (taking the Organization’s resource constraints into consideration)
- A written document that summarizes objectives, strategies and actions steps
Additional details
We are a non-profit community based agency providing restorative justice to teens 11-17 years of age who come into contact with the juvenile justice system. Core services are tiered based on needs and risk factors In 1995, our victim/offender mediation program (VORS) was a nationally-recognized model in Restorative Justice and was expanded county wide.
We are eager to develop a robust and comprehensive training module for new and current clinical case management staff.
What we have in place
- We have a current basic training plan in place that needs to be expanded in order to keep pace with the changing and growing service delivery needs of the agency.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,000 , allowing us to provide support services and monetary incentives for more high-risk and high-need families.
Having a robust training plan will enable us to attract and retain staff as we have experienced a recent high turnover rate. It is important to note that the agency operates in a unique community based service environment where there are many nonprofit agencies seeking highly qualified staff.

Our mission
Centinela Youth Services strengthens families and communities and helps build successful students and productive adults, leveraging the principles of restorative justice to empower peaceful conflict resolution. We are committed to ending the institutionalized practices in schools and justice systems that are primarily responsible for maintaining the school-to-prison pipeline, and disproportionately impact youth of color.
