Project details

What we need
  • Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
  • Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
Additional details

One of our Wordpress sites is ywamocnj.org. We want to migrate all content with some visual improvements and branding enhancements to our new Wordpress site at ywamconverge.net. Both sites are hosted at GoDaddy.

What we have in place
  • We currently have A complete site using DIVI Theme, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Back up of all content, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,345 , allowing us to invest in recruiting and training new volunteers, staff, hosts and interns.

We are moving to ywamconverge.net and leaving ywamocnj.org because we are not focusing on local ministry. We want anyone who searches YWAM Converge to find us.

Our mission

We are a University Ministries Circle of YWAM International with a staff team of certified coordinators on five continents, hundreds of trained YWAM campus ministries staff, host partners, and volunteers.

Vision: To recapture the purpose of the university and proclaim the Gospel in every nation through every vocation.

Mission: To mobilize university students for the next and final wave of Global Missions and to foster student-led missions to and through every sphere of influence.

What we do

We cannot know God's calling until we know our story, especially the parts that hinder us. Jesus is calling us to engage our stories so we can engage our world.

We are developing missions-minded leaders for every sphere of influence. We facilitate opportunities for students to learn how to make a difference. Our target students are from ANYWHERE; they are ready to go into ALL the world, including EVERY area of influence. (Mt. 28:18-20).

Since 1989, we have coordinated internships for hundreds of students from over one hundred universities to nearly 50 countries to help start businesses and plant churches, install water pumps, establish therapy routines for disabled, perform research in clinics, develop nutritional plans for hospices, and create curriculum for schools. With Converge platform, we are preparing to connect, equip, and send over 300 interns per year.

Testimonials

Harsh jumped in ready to help, however, we found that his qualifications and our needs did not match. Harsh has excellent skills, including communication skills. It was a pleasure to meet Harsh and I looked forward to working with him. However, we have decided not to go with this project as described.

Website Construction (CMS-Based) Project

I was really interested to get started with this project but found out later that I was lacking some skills and was not fit for this role. I really liked the idea behind the YWAMConverge organisation. And, these people are really what I call the "changemakers". Hence, I would really like to recommend this project to someone who is well experienced with Ruby on Rails. In all, I want to thank John for really considering me as an eligible candidate for this role.
