Social Media Strategy Sessions
Social Media Strategy Sessions
Project details
What we need
- 3-5 one hour strategy sessions with a social media professional covering topics like channels, messaging, content types, and posting frequency
- A written summary of goals, target audiences and channels to prioritize
- A starter plan of recommendations & actionable next steps to begin executing your strategy
- Note: this project does not include the creation of social media posts or digital graphics
Additional details
We are a small organization (2 full time staff, 1 part-time staff member) that advocates for policy change around the segregated school system in New York City. We post articles and comments on policy regularly on Facebook and Twitter, and would like guidance on the relevance for our audience and how to measure and increase the impact that we're having on social media.
What we have in place
- We currently have a twitter handle and facebook for you to see the work we do, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a staff member, Lena Dalke, who can provide additional info, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to purchase a new computer for our ED.
We don't have anyone on our staff with a background in how to use social media for our organization's purposes, so it would be helpful to have a professional guide us in how to make a bigger impact.

Our mission
New York Appleseed expands opportunity by addressing disparities in New York City and its greater metropolitan area. We collaborate with volunteer lawyers and other professionals, business leaders, government officials and community advocates to identify issues, conduct research and advocate for solutions. We organize public-private partnerships, publish our findings and encourage project replication. New York Appleseed is a non-partisan, independent voice for reform.
