Project details

What we need
  • A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details

The International Music Foundation offers free classical concerts. We are looking for ways to attract monthly donors, as well as more donors at the $500+ level. We struggle with offering donor/member benefits because of the nature of our work. At this time, we offer reserved seats at $1,000 and concert sponsorships at $5,000 but are at a loss of what other perks we can offer that might attract donors to give at a higher level or consistently (monthly).

What we have in place
  • The Board of Directors completed a strategic plan in December 2018. It was during that strategic planning process that we revised our mission. A copy of the strategic plan is available.

We are currently working with a consultant on a renaming initiative. Our organization is neither a Foundation nor International. We are working on determining a new name that better reflects what we do. Names are currently being tested. We hope to have a new name determined in March.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to bring free classical music to overlooked populations (ex. patients in hospitals, residents of nursing homes and even the homeless). It is a program we are going to pilot in March.

This project will better help us cultivate and steward donors. With free concerts (attendance every Wednesday is approx. 500), we often do not know who is in our audience. We struggle to create contact points with our constituents outside of acknowledgement letters and our annual appeal letters. We are looking for a way to better recognize and celebrate our donors.
