What we'd like to talk about

I'd like to brainstorm ideas for updating our website to support new digital campaigns, specifically our new video series. Our website may also need a complete overhaul.

Additional context

IMMEDIATE GOAL:
- this week we are releasing studio tours on IG, Facebook, and YouTube. We would like these videos to live on our website as well.

LONG TERM GOALS:
- given our current shelter-in-place situation, we want to ensure our website effectively conveys are mission and needs. I believe our website needs to be completely redone as it appears stuck in the 90s.
- ease of accessing donation pages on the website
- ease of discoverability of our artist members on the website

"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.

Our mission

ArtSpan, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is committed to cultivating a vibrant, accessible, and world-class art community in San Francisco and to promoting the city's unique creative energy locally and globally. We champion an inclusive art experience by providing hundreds of local artists with the equal opportunity to showcase their work and make direct connections to diverse audiences and patrons. We are guided by the belief that artists play a vital role in society and that broad public engagement with their work is essential to defining a new cultural environment for our changing city.

Testimonials

As a first-time Catchafire user and a website novice, I was grappling with how to verbalize all the web updates our organization hopes to accomplish. Shokai was incredibly helpful, understanding, and patient as he listened to what I thought we needed. He answered questions and offered much-needed and appreciated advice. He pointed out problem areas I hadn't even considered and suggested some small, quick-fixes that we could immediately implement to help the useability of our site while we continue to chip away at the much larger project of a total rehaul. Shokai's post-call notes are truly invaluable, and totally trump my chicken-scratch notes taken during the call. I'm also impressed by just how well-suited Shokai was for our particular organization, he was already familiar with ArtSpan having been to our flagship event, SF Open Studios and we had selected him for his previous experience working with other art organizations. We will definitely stay in touch with Shokai as this project continues to develop! Cannot thank him enough.
