Project details

What we need
  • Ongoing graphic design support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: logo design, flyer design, branded assets for social media
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
What we have in place
  • We currently have published content that will help you understand our brand, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have secured our social media handles, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to create and maintain services for scholars when they need it the most! We will also be able to purchase much-needed programming materials.

Simply put, the children are our future! We are all about amplifying the voices of minoritized youth. Your assistance will allow us to serve more scholars, boost engagement, and direct members of the community to much-needed resources around metro-Detroit. Help us spur social change and enhance the health and well-being of Detroit's youngsters. It takes a village!

Our mission

CLASS ACT DETROIT equips underserved scholars with the resources needed to revolutionize their lives and community via the arts, entrepreneurship, technology, and leadership.

We are on a mission to produce programs that combat 'classroom colonialism' and aid, not hinder, scholars in our nation's urban core. Our priorities are children, working families, and developing more equitable neighborhoods.

What we do

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that utilizes the elements of hip-hop to reach and teach adolescents in Detroit.

Young aspiring creatives demand contemporary training and direct instruction with an edge. Class Act Detroit renders that solution by pairing students with an art-based enrichment program that is culturally relevant and lead by industry professionals.

As such, student exploration, empowerment, and agency are integral components of our program.

Testimonials

First of all, Nick Terry is an amazing human being! He has helped us resolve our design needs and injected new life into our mission via his creative direction. Nick is passionate, professional, dedicated, and highly skilled! To help us the way he did during one of the most challenging chapters of our nation's history [Covid-19] says a lot. Nick was heaven-sent, and we regard our time with him as a blessing! Thank you for helping us serve our families while becoming family!
