What we need
  • Up to 3 short animations to be used in further marketing content (short videos, gifs, website content, etc)
  • Guidelines on how to use the animations in accordance with other content

My organization is seeking a talented designer to create short animated maps to show long distance animal movements and migrations for three different animals. We have the data and a styleguide to follow. These graphics would ideally be GIFs and will be used on social media, in presentations and possibly in short videos.

What we have in place
  • We currently have GPS data, a base map and other info, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff scientists to answer technical questions and factcheck, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,486 , allowing us to help educate people on bear awareness skills

Helping people visualize the big spaces and long-distance movements animals make is an important part of this mission. These GIFs will be essential in telling those stories easily.

  • Volunteer Manager shares with Professional the intended platform(s) where animations will be posted, ideas for content, and images to include in the animation (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the animation, key audiences, and visual branding guidelines
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of animations they like with the Professional

Milestone 1: Preliminary Design
  • Professional drafts animations using different themes to share with the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary theme and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Animation Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of animation
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to two rounds of feedback

Milestone 3: Final Animation Delivered
  • Professional delivers final version of the animations and explains how to include the animations on the organization’s chosen platform(s)
