What we need
  • Recommendation(s) on the most appropriate webinar software, depending on Organization's needs and budget
  • Training for up to 5 staff on how to set-up and use chosen software
  • Note: Some webinar software providers may provide free or heavily discounted plans for 501(c)(3) nonprofits

With Covid-19, we are moving to considerably more remote training. I need a platform that provides both live and pre-recorded training options with testing capabilities that allow users to view their scores and review their mistakes and that provides a certificate of completion.

What we have in place
  • I am the volunteer coordinator and I am responsible for rolling out all training. I am tech savvy and I can easily schedule any time you need to work on this project. I have used platforms that are not satisfactory and know exactly where I need better coverage. I have experience using these programs from a presenter and an end user perspective. As with all non-profits, I'm looking to marginalize cost, but I do have a working budget and grant funds devoted to volunteer training for this need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,145 , allowing us to invest in a variety of other areas to improve volunteer recruitment and retention.

We offer training & in-services regularly to staff & volunteers. They are most frequently on hands-on care techniques and will involve ppt and video as well as assessment. We have several annual trainings that are mandatory. The impact of a successful remote strategy in this climate is better safety and improved compliance among our staff and volunteers.

Our mission

The Crossroads House mission is to fundamentally change the way people prepare for and participate in the dying process. By offering education before, 24 hour residential care during and grief support after death, all free of charge, we can provide residents and families with a positive and nurturing end of life experience.

What we do

We care for residents who have a three month or less prognosis. We provide 24/7 residential care without charge and without insurance reimbursement or government aid. The majority or our care (which includes physical, emotional and spiritual) is provided by trained volunteers.
