Project details
What we need
- A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details
We are working on our first-ever Impact report this fall and aiming to publish a PDF by mid-October. We're doing things a little differently and not sharing photos of our clients because we are in the midst of discussions about how to do so in an ethical way. Because of this, we are hoping to work with an illustrator who can help us create an illustration for the cover of the report and some small accompanying graphics to go throughout the report so that it will still tell our story and engage.
What we have in place
- We currently have a content outline for the report, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated staff member to work with you and brainstorm, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to put more resources towards our other fundraising efforts ensuring that we raise the support we need to provide relief and counseling to young people experiencing homelessness.
It is incredibly important that we showcase our impact on youth experiencing homelessness (and during a pandemic no less) even if we are not sharing photos of our clients. Creating a visually engaging illustration that shows the heart of our work with young people will go a long way towards making our impact report stand out.
Project plan
Our mission
The mission of At The Crossroads is to reach out to homeless youth and young adults at their point of need, and work with them to build healthy and fulfilling lives.
What we do
Our innovative model focuses on young people who do not access traditional services and are disconnected from any type of consistent support. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. We remove common barriers to service by bringing our counselors onto the streets, and shaping our support services around the needs of each individual client. Our goal is to help our clients build outstanding lives, not just lives of subsistence.
We accomplish our mission through a combination of nighttime street outreach and one-on-one counseling, and collaboration with other service providers. We walk the streets of the Mission and Downtown San Francisco at nighttime, bringing help to our clients, rather than making them come to us. We help our clients with anything and everything they need, providing unconditional support for as long as they need to build the lives they want. We partner and advocate to make sure that there is an accessible, culturally competent continuum of care that will provide our clients with the opportunities to realize their dreams.
