Our mission

Matahari Women Workers Center is a grassroots organization working to end the exploitation of women and femme workers by organizing domestic and tipped workers.

What we do

Through popular education and leadership development, we work to mobilize our multilingual base, coalition partners and allies in order to develop local and national campaigns, and change policies and narratives impacting our community. Since our founding in 2002, we have grown into the largest non-union community organization representing and power building specifically with women workers in Massachusetts.
