What we need
  • 3-5 one hour calls with an events professional covering topics like concept, general structure, logistics, and target attendees
  • A written summary of topics discussed, including event concept and theme, general plan, estimated budget (optional), and articulated goals (feel free to use this template as a starting point)
  • Note: This project does not include on-site event coordination or support on the day of the event
Additional details

We're looking for an experienced event planner to help us pick our event concept and navigate virtual/hybrid options to make sure we have a smooth event that is safe and a good experience for attendees.

What we have in place
  • We currently have event ideas, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have some technology, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to focus on community building projects for residents who are impacted by oil and gas

This project will help us raise funds to continue serving the community. Having someone help us set up a successful event will also free us up to continue working on other community projects so we don't have to take time away from programs.

  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager for brainstorming/overview session, to discuss goals, general concept and existing resources, including context about past events, if applicable
  • Volunteer Manager introduces staff and/or volunteers available to help with event planning and execution
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager outline next steps and timeline for sessions

  • Up to 6 calls with Professional, event point person, and/or others involved in strategy & decision-making
  • Professional drafts or gives feedback on event management timeline, identifying roles and responsibilities and, if applicable, general day-of-event schedule based on shared materials

Our mission

Protect Penn-Trafford is a citizen's group working to ensure the safety, security, and quality of life from the effects of unconventional gas development in Penn-Trafford and surrounding communities in Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties.

What we do

We participate in local hearings for new gas development and advocate for protections to our community, we educate our community so they know how to protect themselves and their families, and we mentor other communities so they can accomplish protections for their neighborhoods.
