Project details

What we need
  • 3-5 one hour strategy sessions identifying a fee-for-service activity that can complement the Organization's current mission and existing services
  • A written summary of discussion and prioritized idea
  • A starter plan of recommendations and actionable next steps for implementation
  • Note: This project does not include creating a fundraising strategy to recruit donors or identify grant opportunities
Additional details

We are looking for assistance to clarify and formalize the relationship between our core nonprofit and our independent social businesses.
We would prefer someone with a legal background in nonprofit structuring, or possibly a CPA background would also be acceptable.
We are targeting to build a framework and strategy that is agreed on by the board of directors within the month of April. The paperwork arising from this strategy could extend past this.
We are asking for two 1-hour sessions.

What we have in place
  • We can share our website that gives background regarding our goal to startup social businesses.
    https://www.apptechdesign.org/social-enterprises

We have notes regarding possible relationship strategies and benchmarks.
We have staff and board members willing to meet online to discuss.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,970 , allowing us to cover the cost of materials of one solar school installation bringing electricity and water filters to 150 students and the surrounding community.

ATC is committed to fighting poverty through meaningful work and appropriate technologies. To amplify our impact, ATC incubates social businesses dedicated to furthering this mission.

A Social Enterprise is motivated through its business to address a social problem or challenge, rather than profit maximization.

By clarifying and formalizing the relationship between ATC and its social businesses, we will develop an SOP for future high impact ventures.
