Additional details

The program in need of strategic support is the Workforce and Racial Equity Community of Practice. This program has been in operation since May 2017. We are a learning community for Workforce Professionals committed to advancing racial equity within the field of workforce development. We currently meet quarterly, yet have desire to increase our engagement. The professionals comprise of workforce practitioners, program directors/managers, case managers and represent over 50 organizations.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a one pager description & excel spreadsheet of data tracking, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have 2 team members who manage the program to strategize with you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,775 , allowing us to put additional resources to expanding the Workforce and Racial Equity Community of Practice.

This project is important because having clear strategies and goals for the Workforce and Racial Equity Community of Practice Program, not only helps the agency, but it is instrumental in moving the community members to evoking institutional change. Organizationally, we will be able to identify additional fundraising for future event planning.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager shares all available materials with Professional including preliminary program outline, as well as Organization mission statement, vision, and overview of current strategies
  • Volunteer Manager shares existing project management plans, branding guidelines, and style preferences (if any)

Milestone 1: Analysis
  • Professional reviews and analyzes gathered prep materials
  • Professional connects with the Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming session to review existing services, programs, and preliminary program goals
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional agree on best approach and structure of the program strategy and goals

Milestone 2: Recommendations
  • Professional refines the Organization’s program vision and values (if necessary)
  • Professional proposes strategic goals and objectives with tactics to reach those goals such as management process, team roles and assignments, constraints, assumptions, and high level timeline/deadlines
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback to Professional's proposals

Milestone 3: Delivery of Plan
  • Professional delivers a strategic plan outlining implementation of recommendations
