We are a nonprofit ministry that serves the homeless community in our city. We have lost a lot of volunteers due to Covid19. We needing strategies and advice on how to build back up our volunteer base. We would also appreciate help on how to do a better job at retaining volunteers. We have different levels of volunteers with some on an as-needed basis while others it's an ongoing mentor/coach relationship with the families we serve."Phone Calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. To transform families' lives by breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness, and demonstrating the healing power of Christ's love through relationships and resources.
Grace Like Rain assists families in Denton County who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. In our housing and relief department, we operate a transitional emergency shelter for women and children and assist families with rental or utility needs. We also offer wrap around case management services including transportation and childcare assistance and life skills courses to help families get back on their feet long term.
