  • Note: This project does not include salary/benefit recommendations or offer letter construction.

Project Coordinator - this is for a 3 year project that is grant funded. We hope to start looking for applicants by July. We are awaiting the funding to come in so we're doing the work ahead of time to get our job description written so that we're prepared to move forward when we can.

What we have in place
  • We currently have the grant proposal with deliverables & timeline for project, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a fiscal sponsor with HR department to ask questions, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,290 , allowing us to record voiceovers in multiple languages for our breastfeeding video project. These are to support mothers having difficulty with breastfeeding, while presenting a diversity of mothers and languages.

Hiring a Project Coordinator who is a good fit for our organization and 3-year grant will help us achieve our deliverables. Achieving our deliverables can improve the health and well being of our community, and increase the supports for women, infant and families. This fulfills our mission as the state breastfeeding coalition; this can impact over 15,000 families each year. This also has the potential to create a permanent position in the future, vs our organization continuing 100% volunteer.

  • Volunteer Manager prepares a draft job description for the role they’d like to focus on

Step 1: Discussion of Open Role
  • Volunteer Manager introduces Professional to organization and open role, including the history of this position within the Organization
  • Volunteer Manager explains the Organization’s hiring process to the Professional
  • Professional gathers information about the role to assist in job description and interview rubric creation

Step 2: Analysis & Recommendations
  • Professional presents a draft of the job description and sample interview questions
  • Professional asks follow-up questions to help as they source future candidates
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback to Professional

Step 3: Final Deliverables
  • Professional delivers interview rubric for the position
  • Professional delivers final copy of job description and interview questions
  • Professional presents a short list of potential candidates the Organization could reach out to in order to kickstart their hiring process
  • Professional shares list of recruitment platforms and networking groups in which the role could be posted or shared
