Project Details

What We Need
  • Well-written and compelling copy for marketing or communication materials; examples include a brochure, blog post, one-pager/fact sheet, fundraising/promotional materials
  • Messaging that is consistent with brand identity, public relations strategy and communications objectives
Additional Details

We need help with drafting three(3) prospective partnership letters as a word document. We need one letter for partnerships with college work-study, one letter to partner with local high schools, and one letter for potential partners to offer dual enrollment for students. Each letter is to be approximately one page in length and the primary purpose is to get a one-on-one meeting to have a more in-depth exploratory conversation about our programs working together.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have an idea of what we would like the letters to say, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have letters we used previously to help get started, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to use that money for operating expenses such as went and utilities.

This project will help our organization establish more partnerships with other organizations, schools, and businesses in the DFW area. This will help our organization on every level from volunteers to students and employees.

Project Plan

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides examples of existing communications and marketing materials such as links to website and social media, brochures, and other collateral
  • Volunteer Manager provides brand messaging guide and marketing strategy (if applicable)
  • Volunteer Manager communicates initial concept for deliverables to be created
Milestone 1: Information Gathering
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss goals of copywriting deliverables, target audience, and desired style and tone of writing
Milestone 2: First Draft
  • Professional shares first drafts of copy with Volunteer Manager for feedback with respect to style, tone, clarity, and length
Milestone 3: Finalize Copy
  • Professional incorporates feedback and submits final copy for review

About The Org

AES Literacy Institute Incorporated
Our Mission

Our mission is to motivate under-educated adult learners to obtain the education and career training necessary to be self-sufficient; we will create clear pathways to new opportunities that help restore dignity and improve quality of life.

What We Do

We help individuals 17+ who did not complete high school by offering a 3-6 month alternative program that allows them to earn their Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (TxCHSE - formally GED). We are the only organization in the DFW that offers both official HSE prep AND official equivalency exam testing at one location.

Kevin is awesome! He helped us edit and create three potential partnership letters and it took him approximately 72 hours. He was really great to work with and made communication easy. We are really appreciative for his help and look forward to getting our letters out to our targets audiences to formulate new partnerships for our organization.

Copywriting Project

ShaKimberly and the team at AES Literacy Institute were great clients and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this project with them. The AES Literacy Institute is moving mountains for adult learners and I appreciated the opportunity to play a small role in this worthy cause. I look forward to completing another project for AES and will stay connected to watch them change the world.
