Online Research
Project details
What we need
- A compilation of research on a specific topic (e.g. industry best practices, literature review, media contacts, industry trends, etc.) including a list of sources
- Recommendations on areas for further exploration/research
- Note: This project is not designed to be used for prospect or grant research
Additional details
I work for nonprofit that provides mentoring, tutoring, and social emotional learning to students in grades K through 12. We are looking for a new curriculum for our social emotional learning program. We are required to use curriculum that is evidence based (not research based). We need access to measurement tools, so we can provide our board with data that proves we are making an impact. I have not had much success with the research I have done. We do not have a specific budget in mind.
What we have in place
- We currently use the ARISE Foundation curriculum. We are looking for something that has simpler measurement tools. We currently have students and parents fill out questionnaires at the beginning and end of the year. We have the ability to answer any other questions you may have. We would like to spend as little as possible, but we can apply for a grant if necessary.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,239 , allowing us to purchase a new curriculum if we are unable to get a grant, buy new computers to replace the very old ones we use, and replenish the supplies we use for lessons/projects with students.
We want to make the biggest possible impact on the students we serve. With our current tools, some parents and students are hesitant because our questionnaires are lengthy and outdated. The curriculum needs to be more current by addressing issues we are dealing with in today's world.
