AARO would like to build a collection of curated charts, tables, diagrams, and other visual elements with the aim of informing policy makers and civic leaders of the major forces shaping Central Texas through the year 2050. The ideal volunteer is someone with advanced researching stills, who can help us identify the best-available data/graphics from trusted sources to convey the major trends in the areas of demography, public safety, climate change, land/water planning, mobility/transportation,
What we have in place
- We currently have a list of trends to follow and content from regional experts, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have some resources to access paid sources if needed, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,239 , allowing us to increase our research fund, allowing the organization to invest in more research to make an impact in the areas of education, health, social equity, transportation and water supply.
AARO is looking to build a more informed, long-term vision of Central Texas sourced by the latest data trends in key policy areas. This knowledge will allow our members to be more strategic in their impact, and ultimately, help transform our region into a more dynamic and sustainable place for all. The content of this research will be shared with the public via our new website which is set to launch early next year.
