Project details

What we need
  • Update to or creation of one new HR policy or procedure, such as any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety & Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation & Benefits policies, Work From Home Policies, etc.
Additional details

We are in need of assistance drafting a purchasing/procurement policy for our organization that would establish standards and guidelines for the procurement of supplies, equipment, construction, and services to ensure that they are obtained as economically as possible. Since a pre-scoped project for this type of policy writing does not currently exist within the Catchafire platform, I was advised by the staff of Catchafire to submit this project under this template.

What we have in place
  • I have started a draft document, portions of which I would gladly share. I can also provide an organizational chart, outlining staff members currently responsible for purchasing throughout the organization.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,480 , allowing us to direct even more of our funding to providing direct care to the animals and people we serve throughout our community.

We need a policy that establishes standards and guidelines for the procurement of supplies, equipment, construction, and services to ensure that they are obtained as economically as possible through an open and competitive process, and that contracts are managed with good administrative practices and sound business judgment so as to stretch the resources of our organization as far as possible.
