Salesforce Database Customization
Salesforce Database Customization
Project details
What we need
- A Salesforce database including: a customized set of Salesforce objects, single-record editing of data and field history tracking (up to 15 object types), a customized set of views to allow table-based editing of data (up to 15 views), a customized set of reports to pull data from multiple object types (up to 15 reports)
- Migration of Organization's current database to Salesforce
- Training for designated staff member on new objects, reports and views
- “Hand-off” documentation on the object schemas and any custom code
What we have in place
- We have Excel spreadsheets of our donors and opportunities going back five years. We have a subcommittee of 4 people, 3 with database experience, assigned to develop and manage our Salesforce account. We've created a plan for what we want to accomplish in Salesforce. We have been exploring Salesforce for the last 2 months to better understand this powerful tool, and are ready for an expert to help us get started.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,772 , allowing us to spay and neuter 150 dogs and cats belonging to low-income pet owners.
For years we have been managing our donors and volunteers using Excel spreadsheets and Quickbooks. This is no way to grow a nonprofit. There is a huge demand in Sacramento for the services we provide, but there is also competition from other animal-related nonprofits with bigger budgets and staff. If we are to step up our fundraising game, we need a powerful and professional CRM.
Project plan
Our mission
The Sacramento Area Animal Coalition (SAAC) is committed to eliminating companion animal overpopulation in the Sacramento area through aggressive spay-neuter efforts, humane education, community outreach and networking.
What we do
The Sacramento Area Animal Coalition is a non-profit, charitable organization with 501(c)(3) status. We provide low-cost spay/neuter through the following three programs:
* The Voucher Program operates year-round, helping low-income pet owners obtain spay/neuter surgeries at participating veterinary clinics for a small co-payment.
* The Feral Cat Assistance Program provides low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for people who care for feral cat colonies.
* Spay Day is an annual event held in February for low-income pet owners.
Testimonials
(No testimonial has been submitted by Alexis)
Alexis provided good direction and was fun to work with. She was quick to provide required data and files to make this project successful. Now that the data migration is complete we're planning some other data integration projects.
