Project details

What we need
  • A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
What we have in place
  • We currently have last years appeal letter & updated promo materials, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Salsa CRM & Engage, ~8000 on our list, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,740 , allowing us to Upgrading our home website, and create a new website for the Oregon Pasture Network product guide, both of which desperately need to happen.

I'm new to being an Ex. Director and really need to send an appealing letter to our statewide base. We have two different audiences - farmers/ranchers and 'eaters' - so should I write two different letters? Our donor base is down, but our work is as critical as ever and activities have been up. I don't know how to write in a convincing way to impress future donors.

Testimonials

(No testimonial has been submitted by Shari)
I thoroughly enjoyed both learning more about and supporting the work of Friends of Family Farmers. They are led by Shari, who is a farmer herself, and directs the services of an organization serving as the voice for Oregon family farmers who responsibly steward their land and feed their local communities. Their work is multifaceted, from engaging in policy advocacy and mobilization, program development and support, and serving as a watchdog to keep businesses and elected leaders accountable to Oregon's farmers. I was happy to play a small role in their work by writing a donation letter for the year's end, and Shari was so insightful in her knowledge of not just the organization's work, but of the profession of farming and of the issues that farmers face on a daily basis. She has so much enthusiasm for this mission, and it was a privilege to play a small role in the important work they do.
