Our mission

The Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group (PCRG) is a consortium of community leaders working for economic justice, equitable investment practices, and sufficient financial resources to revitalize communities throughout Allegheny County and Western Pa.

What we do

Organization Description
PCRG is a nationally recognized leader on issues of equitable justice and access to affordable capital, annually evaluating lending intuitions, who engage in the Allegheny County market, as well as identifying trends that emerge in our 60 members communities. Those trends are then evaluated and reported to educate the community development system and government partners. PCRG works to effectively advance strong inclusive communities of choice. PCRG is growing its member capacity, advocating affordable housing, ensuring quality mobility options, and helping advance affordable capital. PCRG offers an array of programs that work in partnership with neighborhood organizations. PCRG combines these activities to advance its members mission. National partners include: National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), the Federal Reserve Bank, the National Association of Community and Economic Development Associations, and NeighborWorks America. As a membership organization, it leverages its national and regional relationships and influence to bring critical community stakeholders and resources together to work collaboratively to address community related issues.

Org Purpose
PCRG works tirelessly to protect the Community Reinvestment Act, ensuring that low income residents have access to affordable home mortgage products to buy a home, as well as connecting accessible quality neighborhoods and capital to drive local community development and small business opportunities. We are a membership organization whose vision helps create complete communities with wealth-building opportunities for all. It meets its mission and vision by deploying programming, educating the public as well as its membership, and by taking action in three core competency areas: Influencing Policy through Advocacy, conducting research and analysis, and identifying resources and services for its members.

Testimonials

(No testimonial has been submitted by Moneika)
I enjoyed speaking with Moneika about the mission of the organization and the theme they were trying to achieve. Communication was clear and I was provided with all the tools needed to reach the end goal. This in turn resulted in successful images that will support the launch of the website.
