Employee Handbook
Employee Handbook
Project details
What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
What we have in place
- We currently have a draft of employee handbook that needs to be finalized, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have policies that may need to be updated and then compiled, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to have more resources to support young adults on their path to higher education.
We would like to be able to more clearly and consistently communicate benefits and policies to employees.
Project plan
Our mission
Our mission is to equip Dorchester students with the attitude, skills and experience to graduate from college. Our goal at College Bound is to transform neighborhoods in Boston that have been stuck in cycles where shootings, violence and gang activity are the norm to those where citizens are thriving and realizing their full potential in save, prosperous communities.
What we do
College Bound Dorchester is a Boston nonprofit poised to be a national model for using education to end systemic generational urban poverty and violence through its Uncornered solution.
VISION: To transform neighborhoods through education by ending generational cycles of urban poverty, violence and lack of opportunity.
MISSION:
To equip young people with the attitude, skills and experience to graduate from college, focusing on engaging gang-involved youth to become positive leaders in their community.
Founded in 2009, College Bound launched the Boston Uncornered solution in 2016. It is the nation's only corner to college solution that engages gang-involved individuals who we call Core Influencers.
The Uncornered solution sets the high expectation of college graduation, trains trusted peer mentors to support youth and provides a weekly stipend to afford young people the space to pursue opportunities that enable them to turn away from the streets for good.
