What we need
  • Up to 3 short animations to be used in further marketing content (short videos, gifs, website content, etc)
  • Guidelines on how to use the animations in accordance with other content

Hi,
As part of New Haven Climate Movement's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve public health we are running an Electric Future campaign to shift buildings and transportation away from fossil fuels and to electric. We are looking for a short animated video to promote EF and the reasons to switch. The campaign is led by with high school students and other youth. (FYI, NHCM is an organization New Haven Leon SCP runs)

What we have in place
  • We currently have a logo, key messages and FB, Instagram and website, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have campaign overview, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to focus resources on outreach, events, and hiring youth interns to work on climate education

We are working to stop the climate crisis, and this campaign can move the City government, building developers, non profits, and the public to make choices that reduce carbon emissions and improve public health

  • Volunteer Manager shares with Professional the intended platform(s) where animations will be posted, ideas for content, and images to include in the animation (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the animation, key audiences, and visual branding guidelines
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of animations they like with the Professional

Milestone 1: Preliminary Design
  • Professional drafts animations using different themes to share with the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary theme and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Animation Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of animation
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to two rounds of feedback

Milestone 3: Final Animation Delivered
  • Professional delivers final version of the animations and explains how to include the animations on the organization’s chosen platform(s)

Our mission

New Haven/Leon SCP is a binational organization promoting social justice, education and sustainable development in the New Haven and Leon communities.

The Climate Change Program is a response to the urgent crisis created by increasing greenhouse gas emissions to human well-being in Nicaragua and New Haven. This project educates the public and elected leaders about specific threats climate change presents and advocates for policies and actions that cut carbon emissions and improve local public health. The Program includes work with the the New Haven Climate Movement and other efforts.

What we do

The primary work of the NH/LSCP in Leon, Nicaragua is to support community based initiatives in the rural communities of Goyena and Troilo and to facilitate programs and projects that improve public health and community based education, support women's rights, and address root causes of poverty. In New Haven we work to respond to climate change and promote public health. In both communities we work to build local leadership and capacity and address root causes of poverty and injustice.
