Project details

What we need
  • Review of existing mission, vision and/or values
  • Analysis of the existing programs and any future plans
  • Strategic consultation surrounding the existing functions and the core needs the Organization seeks to address
  • Freshly written mission, vision & values statements
What we have in place
  • We currently have a mission and values statement, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have over 10 years of digitized annual reports on our website, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to focus on our broader-based programming efforts, which will serve an increasingly diverse constituency in our community.

Our organization's current Mission and Vision Statements are very functional - they describe what we do, but not who we are. I feel that this dry, technical language is a barrier in the way of generating excitement for our mission, and can serve as a justification for not pushing our museum into new projects or paradigms. Revamping this messaging is important towards marketing a new, broader initiative of forward-facing programming that exemplifies where we want to go.

Testimonials

Kit is an incredible resource for any organization that is looking to seriously engage with its present and future needs and values. She went far above and beyond what I imagined a volunteer on here would be willing to do, and created a great deal of positive community buzz and feedback for our organization in the process. A less dedicated or experienced volunteer may have just given me a few pointers and left me to it; Kit met weekly with me for months, bringing fresh resources and insight to each meeting, and working patiently with myself, our community stakeholders, and our Board, to ensure that we all were on the same page and engaged with the process. If Kit is willing to help you with your project, don't bother looking for anyone else - she will bring value to whatever it is you're trying to do.
