What we need
- A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)

At 826 Valencia, all of our students are authors. 826 programs always end with a finished product, such as a book, newspaper, magazine, or podcast. We are always in need of talented illustrators to help create beautiful book covers that reflect our student writing.

What we have in place
- We currently have previous examples, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have templates, guidelines, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to give our students the full experience of professional publishing.
Your work will make a lasting impact on 826 Valencia and our students. Through our project-based model, we see great leaps in our young authors' confidence, pride, and connection to the writing process. And because these publications are distributed in our stores and in bookstores nationwide, their words inspire readers all over the world, building empathy and understanding across differences.

Our mission
826 Valencia works with under-resourced students ages six to eighteen to improve their writing skills and build confidence and pride in telling their stories. We also support teachers inspire their students to write.
