Employee Handbook
Employee Handbook
Project details
What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
What we have in place
- Greetings.
We are a young nonprofit and received our Letter of Determination last February. We are planning to hire two new W-2 employees in 2021 along with two additional 1099 contractors.
We leverage a co-director model of stewardship and can provide you with time to share our progress over the last 12 months as a "c3" along with the HR help that we've received to date via Catchafire.
Thank you for your consideration.
Dave
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to leverage our current budget to help fill a part-time development role which we hope will create more organizational capacity for UpRoot and increase our positive impact in Colorado.
We are growing and learning the ropes of taking care to ensure that we are buttoned up with respect to our responsibilities of compliance. Just as importantly, we want to further establish a culture where everyone who works with us to help accomplish our mission feels valued and heard. Having an employee handbook is part of the on-boarding process for new hires that can do that!
Project plan
Our mission
We increase the nutrition security of Coloradans by harvesting and redistributing surplus, nutrient-dense foods while supporting the resilience of farmers.
What we do
We:
Increase nutritional security in Colorado by diverting locally grown, nutrient-dense surplus agriculture into the state's hunger-relief system.
Support Colorado's smallholder and family farms via a trained volunteer gleaning corps, outreach through educational content and social media, quantitative and qualitative research, legislative-advocacy work and via collaboratively structured pilot projects addressing agricultural issues such as on-farm labor shortages in Colorado.
Reinstall food wisdom in our Colorado communities by reconnecting Coloradans with where much of their food originates.
Testimonials
Stacey was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. She shared a template to get us started on our Employee Handbook and then guided us through every decision, updating the document as we went. Stacey was patient with our busy schedules and fun to work with throughout the project. I highly recommend Stacey to help in the creation of improvement of your Employee Handbook!
