Event Concept & Plan
Event Concept & Plan
Project details
What we need
- 3-5 one hour calls with an events professional covering topics like concept, general structure, logistics, and target attendees
- A written summary of topics discussed, including event concept and theme, general plan, estimated budget (optional), and articulated goals (feel free to use this template as a starting point)
- Note: This project does not include on-site event coordination or support on the day of the event
Additional details
We are hosting a night market on August 28th in parking garage. The purpose of which is to support hyperlocal, Latinx micro-businesses; elevate the image of the neighborhood as a safe place at all times, and to connect the community to the arts.
What we have in place
- We currently have a concept and a location, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have funding, a business organizer, and connections to artists, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to invest project funding into high-quality arts experiences, COVID safety resources, marketing, and reduce the costs for vendors to participate.
By supporting the development of neighborhood-based businesses and elevating the image of the Belmont Cragin community. We also have a goal of infusing arts and economic development, particularly in our placemaking efforts. This project would accomplish all of those goals and be a test for future events. Also, we wrote a grant and this market is an output of that grant.

Our mission
Our mission is to provide the Northwest Side and Belmont Cragin with the tools and resources to preserve affordable housing and prevent displacement and provide business development assistance to local small businesses.
What we do
We're your rental counselor, your small business advisor, your fellow organizer-- and we're here to help you grow your business, secure housing, and know your rental rights.
We provide one-on-one, Spanish bilingual counseling, and group-based training to renters, landlord, and small business owners.
Additionally, we are advancing placemaking efforts that uplift and maintain the Latinx identity of the Belmont Cragin community. These efforts include neighborhood-specific events, branding, and community engagement to identify and drive our work in preserving the community.
