What we need
  • Ready-to-publish copy for a volunteer manual
  • Review of current volunteer manual and suggestions for updates to be made
    *Note: For a designed version of the manual, post our Print Materials Design project once you've finalized copy and content

Lighthouse of Pinellas is in need or reviewing, updating and implementing a new volunteer program. Our program is outdated and needs new suggestions of procedures and processes along with technology updates and forms required in an organization that works with the disabled (therefore background checking each volunteer is necessary.)

What we have in place
  • We currently have all past materials and one admin/volunteer coordinator staff, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have files of past volunteers and access to new technology, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,670 , allowing us to obtain new technology for the volunteer program and be able to bring back the Alumni Group which is a collection of blind clients who have graduated our courses but still wish to connect with peers.

This project will help achieve our goals by focusing volunteer support into programs that have no available staff hours including the management of monthly social clubs for the blind, special events help and volunteer fundraising initiatives.
