Employee Handbook
Employee Handbook
Project details
What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details
We currently need a new employee handbook. We do not currently have one, as we are a new non-profit. We have some policies in place, but are very flexible. We value our employees and contractors and want to have the best policies we possibly can. We look forward to working with you on this project.
What we have in place
- We currently have a clean slate, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a high degree of flexibility about policy, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to open new programs expanding into new areas of hospitality education.
We do not currently have an employee handbook, and we are looking to begin onboarding more staff in late Q1 2022. It would be great if we had a handbook to give them, and had comprehensive policies.

Our mission
Unite Here Chicago Hospitality Institute is a partnership between the UNITE HERE Local 1 labor union and hotel and food service employers in the Chicago area. The UHCHI apprenticeship program recruits current and future hospitality employees, primarily women, people of color and immigrants, as students of its first-class training program. Upon successful completion of the UHCHI apprenticeship program, graduates will be poised to move up the career ladder in high-quality hospitality jobs.
