Mission

Austin Free-Net (AFN) provides technology training and access for the community, fostering skills that enable people to succeed in a digital age. Our computer labs and classes are open to all; our focus is on underserved communities. The knowledge we offer helps people obtain jobs, improve their lives, and participate as active citizens.
A nonprofit corporation established in 1995, AFN helps community organizations to launch free Internet access sites for the public. AFN provides technical expertise, services, and equipment to community organizations, to build computer labs that are technologically and economically self-sustaining over time.
